Boost power and throttle response on your 1995-1997 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 OHV with the K&N 57-2536 Performance Intake Kit. Includes washable filter and custom heat shield.

The K&N 57 Series FIPK Performance Intake Kit (Part No. 57-2536) replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air box assembly on 1995–1997 Ford Explorer models equipped with the 4.0L OHV V6 engine. Engineered to streamline airflow and minimize restriction, this system delivers an estimated power gain of up to 5.86 HP @ 4202 RPM along with improved torque throughout the engine's RPM range.

The kit features a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded intake tube that directs cooler, denser air straight into the throttle body. It comes paired with an oversized, washable, and reusable oiled cotton gauze air filter protected by a custom heat shield to block hot engine bay air. Designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade using factory mounting points, installation typically takes 90 minutes or less with standard hand tools.
