Description

K&N Tapered Conical Air Filter | 170mm Base x 60mm Top x 124mm Height

Boost horsepower and airflow with the K&N Tapered Conical Air Filter (170mm Base OD x 60mm Top OD x 124mm Height). Washable, reusable, and durable.

The K&N Unique Custom Air Filter (Tapered Conical) is engineered to maximize engine airflow, horsepower, and acceleration for custom intake configurations and performance vehicles. Featuring a tapered conical design with a 170mm (6.75 in) Base Outer Diameter, 60mm (2.375 in) Top Outer Diameter, and 124mm (4.875 in) Height, this high-flow clamp-on filter delivers superior filtration while taking up minimal engine bay space.

Constructed with multiple layers of premium oiled cotton gauze media, it captures microscopic dust and harmful debris without restricting air intake velocity. The pliable, ultra-strong molded rubber flange absorbs engine vibration and allows up to 1/16 in (1.5mm) of flexibility to secure a firm fit on matching intake tubes. Unlike single-use paper filters, this filter is fully washable and reusable, providing reliable protection and performance for the long haul.

Best Uses

  1. Custom Cold Air Intakes: Great for aftermarket performance setups requiring custom clearance and higher airflow.
  2. Performance Street & Track Tuning: Ideal for sport compacts, custom cars, and modified vehicles looking to improve throttle response and horsepower.
  3. Motorsports & Specialty Applications: Perfect for racing vehicles, buggies, generators, snowmobiles, and unique custom fabrications.

 Features

  1. Tapered Conical Dimensions: Features a 170mm (6.75 in) base OD, 60mm (2.375 in) top OD, and 124mm (4.875 in) total height for space-efficient installation.
  2. High-Flow Oiled Cotton Gauze Media: Uses layered cotton gauze treated with a specialized tacking agent to trap contaminants while maximizing airflow.
  3. Pliable Rubber Flange: Built with a durable, vibration-absorbing rubber mounting base that stretches up to 1/16 in (1.5mm) for a precise seal.
  4. Washable & Reusable Construction: Designed to be easily cleaned and re-oiled using a K&N Recharger kit, eliminating disposable filter waste.
  5. Pre-Oiled from the Factory: Ships pre-oiled and ready to install directly out of the box for immediate use.

Benefits

  1. Enhanced Engine Output: Increases airflow velocity to improve overall engine horsepower and acceleration response.
  2. Long-Term Cost Savings: Replaces disposable paper filters with a washable design that can last for years with simple maintenance.
  3. Superior Engine Protection: Multi-layer filtration mesh effectively blocks harmful dust and foreign debris from entering the intake system.
  4. Low Maintenance Intervals: Requires servicing only every 75,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions.
  5. Secure Vibration-Resistant Fit: Flex-fit rubber neck holds firm under heat and high-vibration conditions inside the engine bay.
