Description

K&N Universal Clamp-On Air Filter: 3.5" Flange, 6" Base, 6" Height

Boost performance with the K&N Universal Rubber Air Filter (RU-3130). Features a 3.5" flange, high-flow cotton media, washable design, and custom fit versatility.

Engineered to increase horsepower and acceleration, the K&N Universal Clamp-On Air Filter delivers high-flow intake performance for custom applications. Built with pliable molded rubber flanges, this filter absorbs vibration and allows for secure attachment to slightly larger or smaller intake tubes (stretching up to 1/16 inch).

The filtering medium features state-of-the-art, multi-layered oiled cotton gauze designed to trap harmful contaminants while allowing maximum airflow into your engine. Encased in durable wire mesh, it maintains structural integrity under extreme vacuum conditions. Fully washable and reusable, this filter is built to last the lifespan of your vehicle or equipment, replacing restrictive disposable paper filters for good.

Best Uses

  1. Custom Engine Swaps & Air Intakes: Ideal for custom cold air intakes, custom air boxes, or engine swaps requiring a 3.5-inch inlet.
  2. Performance Street & Drag Vehicles: Delivers maximum airflow for high-horsepower street cars, race cars, and track builds.
  3. Off-Road & Powersports: Suitable for ATVs, UTVs, dune buggies, and off-road vehicles exposed to heavy dust conditions (when combined with a pre-cleaner wrap).
  4. Industrial & General Equipment: Great for custom machinery, generators, or custom forced-induction setups.

Features

  1. Oiled Cotton Media: Multi-layered pleated cotton gauze treated with specialized filter oil to capture fine dust while maximizing airflow.
  2. Flexible Rubber Flange: Molded rubber flange absorbs engine vibration and stretches up to 1/16" (1.5mm) to fit tight tolerance intake tubes.
  3. Durable Construction: Reinforced with epoxy-coated aluminum wire mesh to retain its shape and protect against physical damage.
  4. Washable & Reusable: Designed to be cleaned and re-oiled using a K&N Recharger Kit for long-term serviceability.
  5. Clamp-On Design: Includes a heavy-duty stainless steel worm-gear clamp for immediate, secure installation out of the box.

Benefits

  1. Increased Horsepower & Acceleration: High-flow design reduces air intake restriction, letting your engine breathe easier and produce more power.
  2. Cost-Effective Long-Term Solution: Saves money over time by eliminating the need for frequent replacement disposable paper filters.
  3. Engine Protection: Premium filtration capability guards sensitive engine components against micro-contaminants and debris.
  4. Versatile Custom Fitment: Universal dimensions accommodate a wide variety of custom intake configurations and tight engine bays.
  5. Eco-Friendly Choice: Reusable design significantly reduces landfill waste created by single-use paper filters.
