The EBC S5 Rear Brake Kit delivers a significant braking performance upgrade for your classic Honda/Acura sport compact. Yellowstuff High-Friction Pads: This kit utilizes EBC's flagship GG-rated Yellowstuff pads. These high-friction pads are fully shimmed, chamfered, and slotted for reduced noise and thermal stress. Each pad is finished with a patented EBC 'Brake-in' coating to ensure fast and secure pad seating immediately after installation.
GD Rear Sport Rotors: Matched with the pads are EBC's GD series sport rotors. These vented discs feature wide aperture and spot drilled patterns to maximize cooling and rapidly expel dust, gas, dirt, and debris. The rotors are fully balanced and run-out tested for smooth, vibration-free braking, and come with a Thermic Black anti-rust coating for long life.
Installation Note: The Thermic Black coating on the discs does NOT need to be removed before installation. Do not use brake cleaner or any other method to remove it; the coating will be completely removed in the pad swept area during the first 10 to 20 stops made after installation. For safety and balanced braking, EBC highly recommends that you DO NOT FIT these upgrade pads to the rear of your vehicle unless the same upgrade pad is fitted to the front axle as well.
